CHANE'S GEAR

A comprehensive breakdown of the streaming and production setup I use daily. From high-performance cameras to professional-grade audio and technical accessories, this is the gear that powers the retro streams and content that I create

Camera Equipment

Sony ZV-E10 Camera

My primary production camera. This camera is versatile and keeps up with the refresh rate of my CRT TV perfectly with me in the shot! This is also the same camera that I create content with! It comes with a 16-50mm lens in the box to start with. I also purchased a low-light lens specifically to use for streaming and it's a perfect match!

Logitech MX Brio Camera

This was my first streaming camera and it was perfect for my needs! It can also handle low-light and the refresh rate of a CRT TV. I still use this camera as a secondary streaming camera and I love it! This is a great and inexpensive camera with strong capabilities out of the box!

Sigma 16mm Prime Lens

After a lot of research, I found that the Sigma 16mm Prime lens is what works best for my needs. It's what makes my shots crystal clear in low-lighting and pointing at a CRT TV. The default lens with the Sony camera simply cannot do what this does!

Microphones

Elgato Wave DX XLR Mic

The Elgato Wave DX mic is my current streaming mic. It has crystal clear sound and a ton of options for adjusting the sound output in the Wave link software. It's also recently had a price reduction!

This little device is what sets my Wave DX mic apart from just using OBS filters to manage the sound of my mic. I can mute with a touch and even add effects to my voice from the device while keeping my streaming software clean and simple.

MAONO A04 USB Microphone

This Maono USB mic was my first mic that I ever used for streaming. It comes with a lot in a small package to get you up and running. It even has an onboard gain knob and touch mute button. I layered a few filters in my streaming software with this mic and received a lot of compliments on how crisp I sounded. Fantastic for a new streamer or a budget setup!

Video Capture

Elgato 4K S Capture Card

The Elgato 4K S is the final stop for my game image before you see it on stream. This device handles 4K60 HDR10 with zero latency, making it perfect for capturing both retro consoles and modern systems.

RetroTINK 5X Upscaler

The RetroTINK 5X is the device that makes my retro gameplay image that you see possible. This upscale device has so many features that allow you to customize your output the way you want, but has presets so that you can select one and jump right in and get going. Most retro game consoles can hook right up with their default cables. It's worth the purchase! It's also a lot cheaper now since I bought mine!

Elgato Cam Link 4K

This capture device allows my Sony DSLR camera to connect to my PC via HDMI. Its easy to use! Just plug and play! You can even plug it into the Stream Deck if a USB hub is present! A must-have for anything beyond a webcam.

Accessories

Elgato Stream Deck +

The Elgato Stream Deck + is an essential part of my stream setup. It controls my scenes, redemptions, counters, and most importantly, my multiplayer setup. I also use it to control my volumes and mixes. I can even set profiles for different platforms and software that I use. I rely on my Stream Deck a lot, because it does alot and more!

Elgato USB Hub

The Elgato USB Hub adapter for the Stream Deck + is what powers and captures the feed from all of my cameras and the mic freeing up my computer's USB ports for other devices, keeping everything neatly organized and out of my way while I stream. This was a necessity for me like the Stream Deck + itself!

Arzopa Portable Monitor

This Arzopa monitor is where I read my chats from and check the status of my streams while my main monitor shows my streaming software and platform-specific software. Without this, I'd be flipping back and forth through screens just to gather all of the information I needed to keep the stream running. Truly a worthy purchase.

Sandisk 500GB Portable SSD

I keep a Sandisk portable SSD close by when I'm creating content out and about. This storage has been a reliable compliment to my memory cards and keeps them clear for me to continue shooting more.

Computer

ASUS TUF A18 Gaming Laptop

Yes, I use a laptop to stream and create content! The ASUS A18 is how I'm able to move my streaming setup from the retro room to the modern room so easily! This laptop has powered my content creation since the beginning and is easily the best laptop for the job with 32GB of RAM and a 5060 Nvidia dedicated graphic card. It's a beast!

Cables

SNES HD Retrovision Component Cables

Proper cables make a huge difference. I use HD Retrovision cables on all of my consoles that have them available. This is what is producing that crisp image that you see on my streams when running my Super Nintendo. My setup relies on the quality that these produce and you notice it.

PS2 HD Retrovision Component Cables

The PS2 already has great quality without these component cables, but you should see the difference with these cables. HD Retrovision has set the standard of what retro can look like and these cables reenforce that standard.

HD Retrovision M-to-M Extension Cable

I run these to my system selector before the signal reaches the TV or stream. Tis allows me the ability to move and switch out my retro consoles as needed depending on the game we want to play. Make sure that your selector has a signal boost!

M to M Extensions.jpg
HD Retrovision F-to-M Extension Cable

I have these cables on stand-by to swap out when we decide to switch consoles during a stream. It allows me to have the cables hidden close by just out of frame and I can grab any console off of my shelf and add it to the stream quickly.

Game Cube Retro Prism Component Cable

The official Nintendo component cable costs way too much, but I've found that these cables produce the exact same quality as the official one at a fraction of the cost! Make sure that your Game Cabe has the proper port for these before buying.

Elgato XLR Mic Cable (10ft)

With all of the Elgato gear that I use for my setup, it only makes sense that I would use their own XLR cable for my mic. It's inexpensive and the quality is what you would expect from Elgato when paired with the rest of my mic gear.
